The Proposal

On February 20, 2024, Daniel and Trang made arrangements to have a get away trip to Cancun, Mexico. Daniel decided to make it official and turn it into a proposal trip. Daniel put together the most romantic setting. He had chosen a beautiful beach that is near the resort, he picked the song, the banner, the flowers and the time. He gave the instructions to the resort staff. The staff informed Daniel that he had until 6pm. To get this done by because of their local ordinances. After spending the day together, it was coming towards 5:30 p.m. Daniel needed to get Trang to the proposal site asap. So Daniel rushed Trang to the beach saying that “Hey, we are going to see the sea turtles.” Daniel walked Trang to the beach, and as they were walking, Trang noticed there was banner that said “Marry Me”, and before she could look behind her, Daniel was already on his knee asking Trang for her hand in marriage.

In November of 2023, we had taken a road trip to Green Bay to see the awesome Green Bay Packers play against the Los Angeles Rams. After the Packers victory, we were staying in Chicago and wanted to see the city view from the Willis tower (formerly known as Sears tower). As we were mesmerized by the city of Chicago, Trang then told me that she love me as we overlooked the city.

On July of 2023, Daniel had to do an involuntary overtime at this work. After spending 16 hours of working, I was feeling sick and I endured such misery. Daniel called me to check up on me and I told him that I was very sick. Daniel politely hang up the phone. After 25 minutes later, Daniel called back saying that he was at my doorstep with bags of flu, cold, and throat medicine. I thought he bought the whole pharmacy, and that’s when I knew he was going to take care of me for the rest of my life.
